clarify that I will not transcribe definitions. Just read the Catechism, and being able to think and rethink. Suffice to know that for this case, I understand all Grace Grace and Freedom created the interior capacity you have, self-determined yourself to do this or that, whether good or bad.
Christian's spiritual life depends largely (if not totally), the way we act and consider how to influence it, both.
Augustine says:
"there are some that both weighted and defend freedom who dare to deny and ignore God's grace, while others have to when defending the Grace of God, deny freedom "
The first criticism is directed at St. Augustine-Pelagius whose views known, because they were contemporaries, while the second had its clearest expression thousand years later, in Luther.
The first thing to note is the "classic" theme. Is in force in the 500, in 1500 and 2000 as well. The world today is full of Pelagians (mostly) and Lutherans (not much), and have seen both ways of thinking in the same person. It seems that it is usually an imbalance in either pretend that freedom has an important place in life that grace is nothing more than a little help from God (which makes you away from the Prayer of Reconciliation and of the Eucharist), either ignoring expect everything from God as an essential liberty to accept grace.
The second is that I think is a way to explain the existence of the other on a reciprocal basis. So the existence of Grace is explained by the existence of freedom and vice versa.
To assert the existence of freedom without the solicitation of Divine Grace, the human will is required, or say that will receive another solicitation other than God, or moving without any solicitation.
God being the author of all good, if you will receive only requests that come from God, is completely suppressed what he invites us to the good and not suppressed but what inclines us to evil. It follows that the Liberty, as ability to choose between good and evil does not exist. If only the world, the Devil and the flesh, do we need Freedom.
For if the will is moved without any solicitation, Liberty is still impossible. Would have to eliminate everything that surrounds us, or at least, eliminate the senses and intelligence, which are the means that will have any inclination.
Now, tell me how I can be free if I can not see or touch with reality, without perceiving it in some way and without being able to think.
Where to go to deny the Grace widening of Liberty, Liberty ended up running out. And with this: chau Pelagius (At least for me)
To assert, however, the existence of Grace without Freedom requires a gross mistake, but no less infectious, and that if man is not responsible nor free falls exclusively under the laws governing adamantly Divine creation. So why Grace?
A stone, a knife, a plant, no need of grace. A man without freedom, either. Luther, you were! (Again, at least for me)
San Pablo newly converted Question: "What shall I do, Lord?" The Church responds: Cooperate with Divine grace, so that our freedom consent momentum always intimate.
